Bechtel Development, Cavallo Great Lakes Ohio Wind and Great Lakes Wind Energy formed the Great Lakes Ohio Wind subsidiary, which will pilot an initial 20MW project up to ten miles off the coast of Cleveland. Three wind developers selected by Ohio’s non-profit corporation Lake Erie Energy Development (LEEDCo) to develop North America’s first fresh water offshore wind farm on Lake Erie have formed a special purpose vehicle to own and develop the project.
