A police spokesman said a bus carrying 40 Puteri Umno members from Kuala Berang, Terengganu, heading for Melaka crashed onto the rear of a trailer lorry and another bus, carrying 44 Umno members, knocked into the earlier one. SEREMBAN: A Wanita Umno member was killed and 77 other party members were injured in a road accident involving two buses and a trailer lorry near the Port Dickson south-bound exit of the North-South Expressway early yesterday. Roha Dol, 79, of Batu Pahat died at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital here about two hours after the accident which occurred at about 3am. Negeri Sembilan Traffic Police chief ASP Abd Halil Hamzah, when contacted, said all the injured were rushed to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital.

Gelder suffered horrific injuries in the accident, including a fractured pelvis, a ruptured bladder and 2 fractured hips he now has a metal bar permanently fitted to his back as a result of his injuries. Paul Gelder of East Ardsley was crushed by a reversing container lorry after losing his footing while trying to adjust a docking ramp. Although risk assessment procedures were in place there appeared to be a breakdown in communicating these to the workforce, particularly to temporary agency workers such as Mr. Gelder. Freight transport giants UPS have been fined £25,000 with £10,000 costs after an agency worker was badly injured in a West Yorkshire warehouse....
