Volkswagen Transporter Sportline / campervan conversion?

Hiya,

When I have the money, I'd like to buy a van, preferbly something like a VW transporter sportline, with the aim of converting it into a camper.

Firstly, what are peoples opinions of the aforementioned vehicle?

It all depends on what you are going to use it for .... if you are going to drive long distances then try one out for a weekend - from a hire company perhaps. I don't like them much myself - not very comfortable to drive.
