I wasn't even born until 6 years after he died, but I've been listening to Keith Whitley's music for as long as I remember. I never thought about his personal life, but a lot of YouTube video comments blame Lorrie Morgan for his death. I knew they were

She loved him and did her best to break his alcholism chain...she didn't "do" anything to him....he already had the problem when she married him.
And BTW..she still loves him, that's why she has been so unsettled in her life.

He’s slated for a six-hour surgery July 22 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He visited the doctor recently for what he thought was a minor problem — turns out he has stage two pancreatic cancer. • Craig’s mother, Betty Sue Crockett, died Saturday in Tennessee after a battle with cancer. In the meantime, he’s still slated to play the Opry Saturday at the Ryman Auditorium....
