Can Soft Paws nail caps give my cat a nail fungus?

I refuse to declaw my cat so I want to get Soft Paws. Is there any chance the nail caps will give my cat a nail fungus or something?

Declawing is very inhumane. Not only is it VERY painful but many complications can come from it! They cut off part of their toes. Declawed cats can have poor behavioral problems, especially with using the litter box. ( first hand experience with that)
