Among the Latin American countries involved in DR-CAFTA, Nicaragua has become the fastest growing exporter to the US, while Nicaragua's largest import partners include the US, Venezuela, Costa Rica and China. Freight firm UPS International has expanded its Express air freight service into Nicaragua and Honduras to take advantage of the countries' expansion into global markets and recent trends in near-sourcing. Growth began after the 2006 Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA), and is now accelerating with the recent trends in near-sourcing. "Trade between these two countries and the US has grown at a remarkable rate in recent years," said Scott Aubuchon, UPS's director of international air freight.
