Why is Australia & the USA the ONLY countries to NOT sign the Kyoto treaty on Global Warming ? APEC ?

At the upcoming APEC (Asian Pacific Economic Confederation) Australia & our Greatest Allie the USA are the only Nations who have refused to sign the Kyoto Treaty to commit to reducing green house gas emissions globally why ? Apparently BOTH our countries


American and Australian business intrest would be greatly hampered by the protocol. They could recover after a period of adjustment and become competitive again in the Global Market. However since the treaty does not hold all nations to the same standard
